Work Has begun by the Ottawa Junior Carnival Youth Team on the creation of the costumes for 2025

On March 22 & 23rd, WIYA Ottawa together with the Canadian Museum of History celebrated World Water Day in Caribbean style with A Carnival Costume Workshop with the theme Water is Life.

It was an absolute thrilling weekend complete with:
- Storytelling and the introduction of Lady Water, Queen of the Waters
- Costume making workshop
- Carnival parade around the Children's Museum.
So much excitement, so much joy in celebrating Caribbean Culture and heritage.
Thank you to the team at Canadian Museum History for helping us celebrate Caribbean Culture with children, youth and community.
